A great dog to live with and show- a superb family dog. He is very affectionate and people oriented and greets each day with a smile. His theme song should be "You're So Vain" - he thinks that he is stage center at all shows! Easy going, confident but with plenty of attitude and a very stable non agressive disposition that makes him pleasant company wherever he goes. When he walks into a building he always gathers a crowd of admirers and attention and is a great ambassador for the Breed. He has a level back, beautiful side movement, balance, scissors bite, full dentition, straight stand off correctly textured deep black coat and measures squarely. Pede completed his AKC Ch by 9 months and earned his Herding Instinct Certificate at 6 months. Formal OB training begain in 2003 and we hope to make our ring debut in Fall/Winter 2004. He is the Sire of our "R" , "S" (co bred with Joan Michaud in Canada), "U" and "V" litters. He will soon be the Sire of a co-breeding with Darkwynd Belgians.
By age five years, he has produced four (4) Champions, one Obedience Titled Son, one herding titled daughter plus multiple others whose Championships and Performance titles are "works in progress".
As a "Specials" dog, he has shown he is truly a special fellow and his first time and only time out in 2003 in BOB competition , he won BOB over several Top 10 of the Breed. Through the first weekend of May, he has won multiple Best of Breeds as well as a Group 1, Group 3 and a Group 4 and ranks in the Top 10 of the Breed under multiple ranking systems. At the Trinity Valley Specialty, he won Best of Opposite under Breeder/Judge Beth Lachnitt. He can only be shown under a very limited schedule but we believe he will continue to impress judges and spectators through 2004 with his presence, type, temperament and structure.
